We live and work in and around the Davidson County area. As a result, we will assess the circumstances and valuation of your Williamson County real property portfolio and navigate the process to appeal county assessments when it makes sense.

County Overview

Immediately adjacent to Davidson County and the greater Nashville region, Williamson County has 94,666 real property parcels – 3.64 % (3,448 parcels) in the industrial and commercial sector, 91.82% (86,920 parcels) in residential, and 4.54% (4,298) in farm and greenbelt parcels.

Home to Brentwood, Fairview, Franklin, Nolensville, Spring Hill and Thompson’s Station, Williamson County is considered the wealthiest county in Tennessee and among the wealthiest in the country. Whether you are a Civil War enthusiast, interested in historic homes, love Franklin’s holiday Festival of Lights, or hope to run into your favorite music luminary at the hardware store, Williamson County has wide appeal. It is on a four-year revaluation cycle with 2025 as the next revaluation year. The County’s tax rate is $1.8800. Each municipality also has an additional tax which is blended with County tax rates.  For example, Brentwood’s municipal tax rate is $0.2900, making its property owners’ combined rate $2.1700 ($1.8800 + $0.2900).

The 2025 property value revaluation period is particularly important for industrial and commercial property owners in Williamson County. Williamson’s industrial/commercial parcel owners make up only 3.64% of all parcel owners in the county, but for the 2023 tax year, they represented 29% of the county’s estimated assessment values and 29% of the total tax burden.

To be sure Williamson County industrial and commercial parcel owners are being assessed fairly, please reach out to Criterion Property Tax Consultants.
