Bradley County is known for whitewater rafting and kayaking on the Ocoee River, charming town centers, and historic landmarks like the Red Clay Historical Area – the interpretative center for the Cherokee Trail of Tears removal process. It is also home to a variety of industries with employers that include, Whirlpool, Coca-Cola, Mars, P&G and Amazon.

Bradley County is on a four-year reappraisal cycle with 2025 as its next reappraisal year. The County’s tax rate is $1.4392 per $100 assessed value. Each municipality also has an additional tax which is blended with County tax rates.  For example, Cleveland’s municipal tax rate is $1.7130 per $100 assessed value, making its property owners’ combined rate $3.1522 per $100 assessed value ($1.4392 + $1.7130).

The 2025 property value reappraisal period is particularly important for industrial and commercial property owners in Bradley County. Bradley’s industrial/commercial parcel owners make up only 10.34% of all parcel owners, but for the 2023 tax year, they made up 21% of county’s estimated total appraised value and represented 29% of the tax burden.
